Friday Funny - JP and the Felted Purse...or is it a Purse?
Dear Lord,
Thank you for the blessings of the friends I have made ...
Felted Purse by artisan and instructor Nicole Mitchell ...
is pretending to be worn as a hat for JP's upcoming trip to Siberia where
she will be bringing home her new granddaughter Olga.
Olga whom she will be meeting for the first
time this holiday season.
Olga, age 15 who was orpaned, but is is currently being adopted
by JP's son, his wife, and children after they fell in love with her during an
exchange last summer.
Blessings abound.
Just witnessing the twinkle in JP's eyes, and
the smile of her face makes my heart full.

First Show, First Place ...
First Place For Best Art Display
"Personal Adornment"
November 20th, 2010 was my first show with the Creative Arts Association. As a fairly new member, I had looked forward to this with great anticipation. Palms sweating as the Judge stopped by. Would I honor my brand new name tag? As an old friend of mine would say, "WOOT"!
One of the outstanding elements of this show is that the venue is so secure that we were able to set up completely the day before the show, making for an easy opening Saturday morning. The crowds were heavy until the end thanks to this much publicized event, and this years increase in road signage. I went home a much pleased participant in may ways!
Huge THANK YOUS to all who worked so hard for more than 1/2 a year to make this happen for all of us.
